Drama & Movement Therapy
With Nicole Wardell
Drama and Movement Therapy is a creative and expressive form of psychotherapy - it uses story, play, movement, voice work, meditation, breath work, music and art to work therapeutically with individuals or groups. My practice is grounded in the Sesame approach which is underpinned by Jungian psychology, developmental psychology, Laban’s Art of Movement, play and Lindkvists’ Movement-with-Touch-and-Sound (MTS).
Dramatherapy offers a safe and non-judgemental space to help you connect with your inner world. My aim is to aid in the journey of repair, understanding and healing of your emotional well-being.
There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to finding a therapist and it can be difficult to know where to start - so let’s start with a chat. I offer a free 20-min online consultation; no commitment, no pressure or obligation.
You matter. ♡

About Nicole
Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Nicole - I am an accredited and registered dramatherapist (MA Drama & Movement Therapy) based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The love of the arts & performance has always played a role in my life. From being an avid video/film watcher, goofing off in class, teaching, directing, leading workshops and performing on stage - to now using the arts to facilitate healing.
My approach is client-centered which means I work collaboratively with the client - at their pace in an honest & open way. I have experience working with people from all walks of life - young children to adults from different backgrounds and cultures - working with such things as trauma, grief, confidence, self expression, special needs and more.
We all need a little help now and again. So let’s start with a chat.
You matter. ♡

We’ll have our initial consultation via video call. During this chat we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and whether we feel we may be a good match and want to work together.
If so, then we will arrange a suitable time for the first session which can be online or in-person.

The answer is very simple - no. Dramatherapy is not about performing - it is about using various art forms to help facilitate healing, to make sense of your feelings and thoughts & promote emotional well-being.
Let’s chat and see if it’s right for you.
